The New Inn Appletreewick became a focal point for mountain bikers to gather and where my idea for the world's first mountain bike livery was born together with the phrase 'après biking' (The livery is situated at the top of the New Inn car park).
I am recognised as being a leading authority on trail riding in the Yorkshire Dales and have been promoting the sport from my base in Appletreewick since 1992. I have ridden extensively from 1995 onwards as a guide for the industry's leading journalists and in 2009 I sought formal qualifications to allow me to work on a more commercial footing. As a registered SMBLA guide I am qualified to lead groups of riders in normal and winter conditions as well as at night.
A 'Bike Livery' is a safe, dry environment for storing bikes overnight. We have changing facilities and the right tools to make those all-important tweaks or repairs before setting off on the next ride.
We can also help you with guided rides 'tailored' to your individual needs. I'll show you some great routes that will suit you or your group, regardless of each riders' level of experience.
